A pool filter must be properly sized to the pool's pump, plumbing size, water volume and sanitation demand.

 

The two most common pool filter types are sand filters and cartridge filters. The type of filter you choose for your pool is influenced by the amount of vegetation around your pool as well as the design of your circulation system.
